The problem is ongoing. People park at the very end of Stephen Road at the junction with London Road. They ignore yellow lines and park right up to the junction. Usually it is to use the cashpoints as the road has both a NatWest and Lloyds ATM on it. As a resident of the street it is, at peak times, very difficult to turn in or come out of the road. On occasion I have been directed by parked drivers to mount the pavement to get around them. Other times I have blocked the road turning in because it is so obstructed by illegally parked traffic and I cannot manoeuvre past to get to where I live. I certainly do not want to be directed to break the law myself when they are the ones illegally parking. My partner has reported this to the local councillor but has received no reply. There appears to be absolutely no policing of this road/junction by traffic wardens. As a resident it is extremely frustrating not to mention dangerous.
