The street light in front of the gables on Nantwich Road was hit by a car that smashed into it and overturned at the start of December. Part of the street light has been removed following the damage and tape applied. Bollards have been left on the pavement but no further work has been done to replace the street light. It is currently almost impossible to see after 4.30 whilst walking on this narrow section of pavement without this light and this is a busy road. We consider it quite dangerous at the moment. Turning into our drive, opposite the gables and just past the Nantwich Road bend where the car flipped can also be quite problematic in the evening without this light. Since the damage to the light there has been an increased number of large lorries who appear to have missed the signs showing low bridge ahead and then try to complete dangerous turning manoeuvres in the road near Mill lane in the pitch black creating further issues. The light urgently needs replacing.
