Blocked drain overflowing gully

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6934098.

The drain is blocked on Long Tow Road (what 3 words: colonies.canoe.lonely.

The overflow is running into Wildmoor Allotment site. Previous blockages observed make this road “Flood impassable”

Needs urgent attention at all gullies along that road

  • Drains along the whole of Long Tow overflowing. These photo’s show how the over flow is exacerbating flood risk on the Wildmoor Allotment site. I will also report the and my Jan. report to Oxfordshire County Councils flood risk team. Back up here and the drainage system also increases flood risk in the Whitecross community.

  • Thank you for proactively bringing the drainage issue at Long Tow to our attention. Your vigilance helps us maintain the quality of our highways. We are pleased to inform you that the Parish or Town of Marcham is scheduled for gully emptying in the second quarter of this financial year. While severe weather may cause delays, we are committed to thoroughly cleansing all Highway Surface Water Assets in the area within this timeframe.
