Flooding
Reported via desktop anonymously at 15:21, Sunday 5 January 2025
Sent to Breckland District Council and Norfolk County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6934007.
The B1111 only yards to the north of Fiveways crossroads is flooded form side to side, on the east side of the road to some depth 10" +. This area has been worked on recently, presumably to prevent flooding, and this has clearly had little effect. There is a high risk caused by this flooding, as it is located at a sharp bend following long straight road stretches both to the north and south east of the junction, especially hazardous in icy conditions. This flooding is not new, and has occurred frequently over the past 6 years. There are signs warning of flooding, both of which have fallen over in the roadside hedges.

Three days ago , water covered both sides of the road, with the southbound kerb axle deep. Ordinary cars could not drive through the water and had to wait for gaps in the traffic to use the opposite side of the road.
