Rainwater is pooling infront my house
Reported via mobile in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 04:24, Friday 3 January 2025
Sent to Hull City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6924380.
I’m writing to follow up on a report I made on 5th December 2024 regarding rainwater pooling in front of my house (Reference: RPT66847789). The issue causes large puddles to form, making it very difficult for my 5-year-old child to pass safely. Now, with temperatures dropping, the water is likely to freeze, creating slippery and hazardous conditions for us and pedestrians.
When I contacted the council recently, I was informed that no further information has been added to my case despite providing the reference number.
This situation is becoming increasingly dangerous, and I kindly ask for an update on when the matter will be addressed. Please let me know if there is any additional information or documentation you need from me to assist in resolving this issue.

It looks like from the picture that rainwater is actually running off your front garden via the gate and then pooling slightly outside your house. I would do what most people have to do in the winter when faced with a small puddle and put some salt on it to stop it freezing. I don't know any 5 year olds that don't enjoy puddles.
