School run parking

Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 09:24, Mon 21 September 2015 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to South Oxfordshire District Council 1 minute later

On the grass verge around The Croft, school run parents dropping children off, are parking on the grass verge, when it is wet it becomes very muddy, and the cars make ruts killing the grass which look unsightly. Is it possible to get this stopped. This has been on going for some years.

Updates

  • To prevent parking on the verges would require the installation of large quantity bollards, I regret that Oxfordshire County Council do not currently have the available funding for this type of scheme.

  • Thank you for your reply. Dose the reinstatement of the verges over time, not outweigh the cost of some posts on part of the verges near the schools. It is such an eyesore, especial for residence, could not some warning signs be but in place. Always seems to be about money,
