Fence by St Nicholas Footbridge is trampled all down

Reported via desktop anonymously at 11:54, Wednesday 1 January 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and Vale of White Horse District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6917721.

The efforts at a'fence'bordering the path at St Nicholas Footbridge constitute just part of the whole problem here-from uncut nettles to destroyed flood defences to panel fences knocked down to bikes and parking cones lobbed in the stream to litter bins ditto. One can just make out asort of chicken wire effort once upon a time at a 'fence',more distinct are remaining steel posts unfortunately the wire netting has long since vanished. The fence is supposed to delineate the boundary wall between the Boxhill Woods fraternity and the Fitsharris Estate crowd. The idea when built was to keep lot A out. Also to stop errant passers by from jumping in the river or launching canoes etc. Sadly all this vanished years ago. Whats the point of having the need for a fence if its useless? The whole thing needs refurb bigtime if not an actual wall heh heh going by todays world.
