Filter light needed for right turn from st Mary’s way onto hall street

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights category anonymously at 00:03, Fri 20 December 2024

Sent to Stockport Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6883289.

This problem has been going on for over a year. A filter light is needed for traffic turning right onto hall street, oncoming traffic coming from the m60 side of St Mary’s Way run through the red lights preventing traffic turning right onto Hall Street. Often cars overtake the queuing oncoming traffic and nearly crash into the hall street right turning filter lane, I have been in 4 near misses in the past 3 months from people doing this. Red light cameras and filter lights are needed. It would be useful to undertake a study of the general poor driving at this junction. It also puts pedestrians at risk.
