Grass verge churned up and pavements cracked

Reported via mobile in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 16:15, Thu 19 December 2024

Sent to Halton Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6882113.

Vehicles have driven onto grass verge and pavements causing damage to verge and cracking pavements. Pavement now loose and squirts out dirty water when stepped on.

Multiple large vehicle tracks through length of verge on school side, when grass grows the uneven surface wont be visible and children are likely to fall, possibly into road.

Updates

  • Just getting worse. This clown from Spencer Recycling Ltd (not helped by parking but why you would drive up there at 8:55 AM in a tippper...) has taken out a huge chunk of verge (not shown in pic). When it warms up and the grass grows back, its going to hide the huge ditches and put kids at risk of falling onto the road.
