Lack of o Through Road Sign

Reported in the Street nameplates category by Mrs Judy Robinson at 12:17, Thu 10 September 2015

Sent to Vale of White Horse District Council 3 minutes later

At the entrance to Milton Heights there is not a 'NO THROUGH SIGN and articulated lorries are coming onto the Heights thinking they can avoid the roadworks at Milton Interchange and get through to Didcot. When they realise their mistake they need to turn round which is difficult as the roads are narrow. This happens now 3/4 times week. They normally turn either at the back or front of our house at Duke of York Avenue narrowly missing my fence and car. Children also ride their bikes and before long there will be an accident. It wouldn't take long or cost much to erect a sign to avoid this happening.

Updates

  • Dear Judy, thank you for your report. The County's Engineer in charge of the Milton Interchange scheme should have arranged for appropriately worded temporary signs to be erected at the A4130 / road to Milton Heights junction. If this is the case then hopefully the situation has improved? Regards OCC Traffic Advice & Design
