Reported via desktop in the Carriageway category anonymously at 13:07, Mon 16 December 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Cheshire East Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6867761.

This area was resurfaced with tarmac not long ago and already it has all broke away leaving horrendous deep potholes with exposed sides which cut like knifes into tyres, have added photos of the worst but there are many and it's not safe to keep getting out and take photos due to the sheer volume of traffic using this road. The rain fills the holes and makes it almost impossible to see the depth and to avoid them especially in the dark and when lorries need to pass. I have had two damaged tyres and I will be putting in a claim for compensation as I think everyone else who has damage caused due to the neglect down this lane should also do. When will this lane be surfaced for the vehicle types using it? Heavy plant and machinery crossing a tarmac road is never going to end well for the surface, if this is what the council allow then it needs to be surfaced to a higher standard not just with a thin layer of tarmac, this is not a normal road this is a road being used as a crossing place for heavy plant and machinery. This needs addressing urgently for the safety of ALL who use it.
