Reported via mobile in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 07:29, Mon 16 December 2024

Sent to Leicester City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6865488.

Road surface needs to be repaired

Updates

  • I’ve had an email saying the council can’t afford to resurface the road, so it will have the pot holes fixed….however the road has been like it for a good number of years so don’t hold your breath. It appears it isn’t a priority !!!!!

  • The council say it isn’t a priority, it seems that the road surfaces in general in Leicester aren’t a priority but the cycle lanes are and they are creating a pollution problem !!! Possibly they should be paying tax as we do,

  • The city council seem to waste so much money on projects that aren’t important, they should be repairing the road surfaces.

  • The road surface is deteriorating and needs to be repaired. However the Leicester Council seem oblivious to the general state of all the roads in the city.

  • This issue has like so many other issues has been reported to the Leicester Council on many occasions now, they seem to ignore it and squander funds on other projects that they obviously think are more important. Parking on Glenfield Road near the schools is dangerous and has also been reported on many occasions, by parents dropping and collecting their children from school again nothing has happened. Possibly it will need someone to be seriously hurt before anything happens !!!! Come on LC do the right thing and act, or give some plausible answers as to why the issues can’t be sorted out.

  • At last some of the pot holes have been marked for repair, however it looks to be a cheap fix. I’ll reserve judgement until it’s been done. Nothing has been done about parking outside the catholic school, possibly the council are waiting for someone to get seriously hurt before they act !!!!!

  • The road surface has not been repaired, obviously no members of the council use this road or it would have been repaired by now. Possibly try and get Soulsby to cycle down the road, he would also see how dangerously people park the cars at the catholic school. I think the council are waiting for someone to get seriously injured before they do anything !!!!
