Most of the drains are blocked in spring road and many other places in Abingdon by weeds growing in the gutters and drains. Weeds are also growing in the pavement allowing other debris to collect. This has been caused by the awful resurfacing job that was done so badly a few years ago. If drains are not cleared surface water flooding is a real risk
OCC_NAD - Drain along Spring road appear to be clear. I will send your concerns onto our drainage team. At this time, Oxfordshire County Council does not have a budget for the treatment of general weeds. Where the weeds are causing a safety hazard, or are considered “noxious weeds” (for example Japanese knotweed or ragwort), we may be able to remove them, or already have a programme in place to remove them. District council are able to do street cleansing.

Here Is a photo showing the problem. I believe the roads are meant to be swept monthly? This doesn't seem to have been done and with the weeds so well established would be pretty much impossible. Drains in Faringdon road are even worse
