Mice

Reported anonymously at 02:06, Tue 8 September 2015

Sent to Great Yarmouth Borough Council and Norfolk County Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 686478.

I've lived in my new property with my four week old for just nearly a month now. These past 4 days I've spotted something in the corner of my eye which I've now discovered is a mice. I'm absolutely petrified of them! Even more worried as my little one is still so young. I got told by the council before I moved in that the woman that got evicted had rats and mice... Which I thought would of been sorted from the council before I moved in. Anyhow I've been running around the flat trying to catch which I think is more then one which I and a friend saw go into the kitchen we couldn't find it so my friend removed the borders under the cupboard and I can't actually believe the mess under them it's actually disgusting and the woman that lived here with a child is actually vile! And for it not to of even been cleaned up or even checked is disgusting to. I rang the council on Sunday to be spoken to by the rudest woman I've ever come across she spoke to me asif I wasn't human.. I'm not a dirty person my family support me a lot this flat cost us a lot of money to decorate now I have mice running all over makes my spine cruel. Anyway environmental health left me a message on voice mail yesterday and said there's a £35 charge? Why I've only lived here a few weeks this should of been sorted before I even moved in? So the council don't remove filth before someone moves in... But yet they left me to do Basically everything. I am not paying for something that should of been sorted before I moved in that's ridiculous I apologise but I'm so upset with the way I've been treated.

Updates

  • I have experienced the problem of rodents myself, and it's not nice, especially for those that are petrified of them. Never had to pay anything for services. Should be sorted by the council without cost. Why are we paying Council Tax? Get it sorted GYBC!
