This pot hole is bad enough to cause an accident or damage, leaving the Council open to liability under Highways Act 1980. The delay in repair is unacceptable.

With respect, I think it is obvious it remains outstanding. The question is why has it not been fix within an appropriate time given the risk. The council’s own website says to ‘allow to up 35 days for the work to be undertaken’. 30 days would be for the lowest risk defects and many people are reporting this defect is dangerou

I reported this on the 15th December 2024, today is the 23rd Jan 2025, this is an extremely dangerous pot hole, if a cyclists or motorbike hit it full on there will most likely be a fatality!

That’s at least something but it is not clear why it wasn’t made safe when it was first reported in December?
