Abandoned car, flat tyre, possibly stolen

Reported via mobile in the Abandoned vehicle category anonymously at 14:32, Fri 13 December 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6858942.

This car has been left here for at least a year and has never moved once. It has a flat tyre, and has even drawn the attention of scrap merchants who have now left a note on the rear windscreen offering to buy it for scrappage. It is parked on the driveway belonging to Flat 4 Toronto Court, but the car does not belong to anyone who lives at this address. I was also informed by another director at the flats that the licence plate indicates it may be illegal in some way.

  • We have investigated this report and found the vehicle to be taxed; a taxed vehicle is a strong indicator of an interested party and therefore the vehicle is not considered to be abandoned at this time and no further action will be taken. You can check the tax status of a vehicle online via: https://www.gov.uk/ check-vehicle-tax. Insurance or MOT issues should be directed to the Police as Bromley do not have the statutory powers to deal with this type of offence.

State changed to: No further action
