Container at the side of the road

I have written to you twice now about the container placed at the bottom of Oaklands. This has been here for over 18 months now and is never accessed or used. I know this as I live at 22 Copse Avenue directly opposite it. The building site you tell me it is used for is also untouched with no work currently being carried out there so there is no end in sight. As far as I can see this should be a temporary licence and storage solution and this no longer seems temporary to me. It is obstructing the corner of Oakland’s, making it difficult for drivers to take this corner so this needs to be looked into further. You assure me there is a highway licence in place so I’d like to see this please? Thank you.

Due to delays at the site in question, the container has had to remain in place longer than anticipated. Contact has been made with the new project manager who has made assurances that work will recommence shortly after Christmas, with the container being moved onto site once the groundwork is complete. The container has been licensed until 4 March at which point we will ask for a progress update. Unfortunately, due to the licence holding personal information we are unable to provide a copy.

I live at 24 Copse Avenue and am also complaining about this container that is at the bottom of Oakland avenue, It has been there for well over a year and as I am retired am able to say that I have not as yet seen anyone using it. Is this something that any private oerson can do? If it is connected to the building site nearby there seems to be no activity on this site.

As noted above the container is currently licenced. Our Officers have spoken with the project manager for the associated works and the container is intended to be moved onsite shortly.
