A 180 year old Oak tree and a 50year old Tulip tree are at risk of being unnecessarily cut down. Other alternatives need to be investigated first.

Sent to Leeds City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6823365.
Two trees in Tittybottle Park are at risk of being cut down unnecessarily. A temporary bridge is being constructed and it could involve using a crane to move a long span into position. This would necessitate cutting down the two trees. A better alternative would be install two more piers in the river this would mean the span could be halved and no more trees need to be cut down.

We have been advised that the tree will not be touched before 6/1/25, but it could happen soon after 1) it is unnecessary 2) it is wrong to even think about cutting down a healthy Oak 3) it wouydie, just to allow a TEMPORARY BRIDGE!!

Leeds CC plans are based on false statements. They have not had full and transparent on-site discussions with the responsible experts. They should be looking for alternatives not threatening the trees.
