Fly tip in lay-by

Reported via mobile in the Rubbish or flytipping on the pavement category anonymously at 13:55, Wed 4 December 2024

Sent to Runnymede Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6818943.

Fly tip in the lay-by, alongside the chronic issue of accumulated rubbish. An utter eye sore and environmental disgrace. Whoever is responsible will no doubt pass the buck once more. It’s been like this for years and we need to track down whoever it is that isn’t doing their job and get higher powers to step in. Will anything be done?

Updates

  • Hi there,

I am writing to express my ongoing concern regarding the litter along both carriageways. Despite efforts to maintain the area, the litter continues to be a major eyesore. When the verges are mowed, the litter gets shredded and spread even further, exacerbating the problem.

In light of this, I have the following requests:

    1. Can the litter please be picked up on a regular basis (monthly or bi-monthly)? 2. Could the contractors responsible for mowing and maintaining the verges be asked to also pick up any litter present in those areas?

It is truly disheartening to witness the level of littering and fly-tipping in our community. This mess creates an impression of neglect, which unfortunately encourages more people to discard their rubbish without care.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope to see a cleaner and more beautiful environment soon.
