Incomplete road markings

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6811151.
On the B265 Hayes Lane, North east bound, approaching its junction with the A21, as you drive past the school on the left, the road is divided into two lanes with arrows painted on the road in both lanes pointing straight on. As you get to the cul-de-Sac on the left, the arrow in the right hand lane suddenly changes to Turn Right only. I have put many reports on Fix my street over the years and have never tried to tell anyone what should be done, merely reported what I see. But on this occasion I have to break this rule. This outside lane should be marked Right turn only, all the way back to where the arrows start, or even before, and the nearside lane marked with arrows with two heads, Turn left or Straight on. Can I suggest the right hand lane arrows start further back, before the left, so drivers who like to hog the outside lane, and who don't know the layout of the A21 junction, are warned this lane is for right turning traffic only. I approached this junction today knowing i was going straight on and joined traffic which was queing in both lanes. I joined the outside lane, (marked with a straight on arrow), and then as i neared the junction, had to appeal to the generosity of traffic in the left hand lane to let me move over. End of rant. Thank you, JH

Thank you for your report. As the road splits from 1 lane to 2, there is a large sign advising drivers which lane they need to choose to continue their journey. This layout has been in place for many years, and there are currently no plans to review the existing signage or layout.
