Blocked Gulley

Reported via mobile in the Blocked Drain / Gully category anonymously at 23:23, Wed 27 November 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6794179.

This blocked gulley/drain has been a problem ever since I have been living in this area for the past 2 1/2 years. It is right opposite our house on the street, and during heavy rain the gulley appears unable to take the amount of rainfall that should be expected of a street gulley. Frequently, the street become flooded within a matter of minutes, cars drive through causing a wave which often touches our house, putting us at risk of flooding. The blockage appears to be lower down in the gulley. I have frequently been out to remove excess leaves and rubbish that may make the drainage worse. The drainage sewers and galleys along Hailey Road appear completely inadequate at dealing with heavy rainfall. This needs to be addressed urgently!
