  • The covered drain in the middle of the junction of Walnut Close also overflows in heavy rain/or following persistent rainfall. Evidence now of road surface adjacent to drain cover disintegrating and creating pothole. Kerbside drain in Chapel Close (outside driveway to Ashleigh House) opposite drains outside numbers 3 & 4 also overflowing in heavy rain/ or following persistent rainfall. Kerbside drain directly outside Roseville (junction of Chapel Close/ Walnut Close) appears to take very little surface water but fills up when rainfall and sometimes overflows in heavy rain.

  • Hello. This problem is ongoing every time it rains. Looks as if it might be a groundwater problem and drains unable to drain off water. Some investigation required and feedback would be appreciated.

  • The water overflow onto Chapel Close is now hazardous with the onset of freezing temperatures. Ice has formed on the road at the bottom of Chapel Close that is used by local residents and walkers. My wife had a fall there earlier today. An update on the cause of the overflows and potential remedial measures would be appreciated.

  • This problem has still not been resolved. The drain is blocked. I'd have thought a relatively simple task. Water running down street and eroding the road. Chaotic during heavy rain.
