Tree root trip hazard
Reported via desktop in the Pavement Defect category anonymously at 00:51, Mon 25 November 2024
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6778853.
A tree root from the pavement tree has pushed its way through the tarmac across the entire width of the pavement. I've already tripped over it once in the dark, and someone who is less steady on their feet could have a nasty fall and break something.
There are also a few cracked paving stones between this location and the corner with Hawkhurst Way.

No "appropriate action" has been taken: the area was simply barricaded off, the barricades got blown over during the storm and were later removed, but nothing more has been done.

Appropriate action was taken in that barriers were erected at this location as works previously raised to address this issue have not yet been carried out. We have reminded our minor works contractor of this and asked them to complete these works as soon as possible.
