Council rubbish bin encroaches on path
Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 15:19, Thu 6 August 2015
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 672635.
Near the bridge by the Dolphin there is a B&NES rubbish bin on the south side of the path. It sticks out into the path making it dangerous for bicycles to pass each other, or to allow people and bicycles to pass safely. I wonder why it was placed part way onto the path when it could have been fixed three feet away, and hence flush with the edge of the path. Can you please look into it? Sorry, no photos.

I asked the council why the obstruction remains in place. They state that they cannot move it. The bin is 3 to four feet from the edge of the canal. I suppose the council will do something after some is killed.

Today the health & safety hazard remains in place. Please, Council, remove it. Force Locksbrook Inn to supply their own rubbish bin in their yard. Someone is going to get injured.
