We have investigated this report and found the vehicle to be taxed; a taxed vehicle is a strong indicator of an interested party and therefore the vehicle is not considered to be abandoned at this time and no further action will be taken. You can check the tax status of a vehicle online via: https://www.gov.uk/ check-vehicle-tax. Insurance or MOT issues should be directed to the Police as Bromley do not have the statutory powers to deal with this type of offence.
State changed to: No further action

This vehicle is taxed, not believed to be abandoned and parked legally, as such no enforcement can be considered by LBB as we deal with untaxed or abandoned vehicles only and operate under Devolved Powers legislation with the DVLA. The Police should deal with matters such as missing number plates and obstruction under the Road Traffic Act etc.. This report will remain closed with no further updates being posted

The large van has been dumped at the entrance to High Grove for almost a year. It causes a considerable risk to residents and pedestrians as it completely blocks the view when pulling out onto oncoming traffic on sundridge ave. Whilst it may be taxed, surely the fact that it has not been moved for so long means it is abandoned. The lack of action from LBB is now encouraging other vehicles to be dumped at the same location. See picture of white car, filled with rubbish and without an engine.
