There is no vision out of Highgrive as this large abandoned van is blocking our view.. in the last 2 months I have almost had numerous accidents pulling out and onto sundridge aveunie .. the van has no number plates and will cause a serious crash if left for much longer

  • We are continuing to investigate and working to resolve this report

Posted by Bromley Council at 13:37, Tue 12 November 2024

  • We have investigated this report and found the vehicle to be taxed; a taxed vehicle is a strong indicator of an interested party and therefore the vehicle is not considered to be abandoned at this time and no further action will be taken. You can check the tax status of a vehicle online via: https://www.gov.uk/ check-vehicle-tax. Insurance or MOT issues should be directed to the Police as Bromley do not have the statutory powers to deal with this type of offence.

State changed to: No further action

Posted by Bromley Council at 10:29, Wed 13 November 2024

  • This vehicle is taxed, not believed to be abandoned and parked legally, as such no enforcement can be considered by LBB as we deal with untaxed or abandoned vehicles only and operate under Devolved Powers legislation with the DVLA. The Police should deal with matters such as missing number plates and obstruction under the Road Traffic Act etc.. This report will remain closed with no further updates being posted
