Roundabout and crossings neglected - tree dead

Reported via desktop in the Trees category anonymously at 10:59, Mon 11 November 2024

Sent to Leeds City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6717632.

I wanted to bring to your attention the current state of the roundabout near Stourton war memorial (W3W location: ///couch.pose.dash). The area is overgrown, unswept, and poorly maintained. The tree, which was damaged in the 2022 storm, has been dead since about two years and is leaning over since. It requires replacement. Additionally, most of the planted vegetation has failed to thrive, despite the funds allocated for this purpose no doubt having been paid to contractors long ago. This is a key route for visitors from the P&R coming into the city, it looks so uncared for.

This neglect is particularly concerning given the area's significance as the location of our war memorial. I believe this situation warrants immediate attention and corrective action.
