Bus stop markings in wrong position
Reported via mobile in the Bus stops category anonymously at 08:47, Mon 11 November 2024
Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6716712.
As you can see from my pictures the markings were painted in the wrong position, meaning it looks ok for people to park at the bus stop, which in turn blocks the stop meaning people need to go onto the road to get on/off buses, also means disabled people cannot use the raised kerb.
This also gives people going to Hampden the go ahead to park where they want which blocks the buses even more, this all goes against the council's own campaign.
Can't say I can blame people parking here as there's nothing to say you can't, the council need to paint proper lines.

Of course the problem hasn't been fixed, took a year to get the lines painted so won't be holding my breath on them being fixed any time soon, all the while the stops blocked on a daily basis meaning every single person able-bodied or not is impacted.
So much for the council's campaign.
