Cuckoo Lane and beyond that is the entrance to the John Radcliffe hospital . Sitting in my garden I and friends noticed a tree which is on the grass verge at the side of the entrance to the JR .It has a crack running through most of the tree and certainly going into the trunk beyond the bark, It nigh certainly poses a hazard to ourselves should it fall into our garden –but also and of public importance to anyone walking down Cuckoo Lane –and many do ! and to blocking the entrance to the John Radcliffe and pedestrians /people in cars entering the JR –as many do! It appears to offer a current threat –which with severe wind would clearly being even more likely to occur. I trust you will investigate this with urgency and take the necessary action .Please inform me of the result of your investigations.

Updates

  • As I was trudging through the snow, there is a corner house, just before the roundabout to JR Hospital, the branches are heavy laden with snow and one or two have fallen off. I am worried about the tree it self as it doesn't look like it will hold. The tree is quite tall, some of the branches have already fallen on to the pavement.
