Trees overgrown on the highway

Reported via mobile in the Trees overhanging highways category anonymously at 16:44, Tue 5 November 2024

Sent to Norfolk County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6698189.

The trees along the A17 at this section are shadowing the bordering arable field, creating a drop in yield which is claimable. We are concerned that as a number of the tree branches are broken, they could go through the machinery and cause issues.

Updates

  • Plan of tree line in question submitted. The trees are of concern due to shadowing in the spring / summer months, into the neighbouring arable field. It would be sensible to cut these trees back over the winter months in preparation for next year.
