Poor reapir job made the road worse than it was before!

Reported in the Potholes category by Scott Blackmore at 10:37, Thu 30 July 2015

Sent to Hampshire County Council 3 minutes later

Just off the roundabout into the top end of Artists Way it is very potholed, I reported this last year and what can only be deemed a temporary fix was enacted i.e. fill in the holes with loose stones! The road surface has now deteriorated further and the bumps and holes continue right from the roundabout exit, up around the corner to the bus stop. cars coming the other way rarely stay on their own side of the road and the surface is so bad it causes any car travelling with any speed (which is more often than not) to loose grip and drift into the middle of the road, it's only a matter of time before an accident happens there. It would be nice to get a permanent fix as opposed to just putting some gravel in the holes, if it's left unchecked through this winter it will be a complete mess and even more dangerous

  • No response from the council except the automated email. It seem the plans for other parts of the town are more important than a residential stretch of road, on a blind corner close to a bus stop having a terribly poor road surface. If I'm honest, the whole of Artists way need resurfacing properly
