Cars parking in ZigZag lines near Zebra Crossing
Reported via mobile in the Road signage category anonymously at 11:16, Sat 2 November 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Cars have been parking on the white zigzag lines on Whitehall Road next to the launderette, sometimes with two wheels or even all four wheels on the pavement. Some vehicles, as shown in the attached image, park directly on the road without using hazard lights. These white zigzag lines are meant to protect pedestrians, as they indicate a zebra crossing.
These illegally parked cars are a daily occurrence, and I often have to report them to the police, as they obstruct the crossing.
While the lines need repainting, it’s more urgent to install proper signage or bollards to prevent vehicles from parking on the white zigzag lines. Without adequate protection, the road remains dangerous for residents, pedestrians, and other drivers.
