Road Debris

Reported in the Street cleaning category by Mark Pearson at 20:25, Mon 27 July 2015

Sent to Leeds City Council 5 minutes later

There is some debris in the road, namely sharp metal objects, rubble, empty water bottles, broken glass and other dangerous items. They are in between the central traffic islands on Kirkstall Road near GMC2000 and Speedy Depot. The debris is between 4 or 5 of the islands and is a DANGER to anyone driving or riding.

I was travelling home this evening, 27th July 2015 and had to turn right across Kirkstall Road.

As a direct result of the debris in the road I ended up having a puncture in the rear tyre of my motorcycle the cost of which is expected to cost me over £120.00 to repair.

To say I am not happy is an understatement.

This debris has been here for weeks and weeks with there being no visible signs any road sweepers have visited to clean up the mess.

Not only does it look terrible for any visitor entering the city via Kirkstall road, it is also dangerous and in my case now very expensive.

Please can you send someone to clean up the debris before someone actually gets hurt or has the same expensive problem as me.
