Sent to Rugby Borough Council 2 minutes later

We have reported for several years large branches falling from this tree and roots looking danergously close to our house. There is yet another branch waiting to fall at the moment. We would request this tree is removed before damage to the foundations of our house. We cannot keep a neat front garden due to roots coming up through the lawn so would request these are removed if nothing else. We have reported by phone many times, but now wish to log in writing to ensue the council is responsible for any damage to our property. We do hope you can help. If you do not think the council is responsible for this tree then please advise if we need to have this removed ourselves.

  • So thank you for coming to trim the lower branches, but this does not solve the problem of the roots coming up through the lawn and getting dangerously close to our house. Please advise if anything is going to be done about this. I don't mind another smaller tree being planted in its place. I do believe I am within my legal rights to remove roots and branches encroaching on my land but would not like to do anything that might leave the tree in a dangerous state. Can someone please get back to me on this or I will just go ahead.
