No double yellow lines in front of garages

REFERENCE from previous report on same issue: 6457956. This enquiry was automatically closed, without finding out about its outcome. The two garages of 66 Pembroke Rd are accessed by Alma Vale Rd as it's a corner house -see picture attached-. Both garages had double yellow lines painted in front of them (until the road was re-surfaced a few weeks ago). We want to have these double yellow lines in front of both garages REMOVED (light green colour garage doors) and if possible have a NO PARKING written on the pavement instead, as they have always been garages and we want to use them regularly. Both sets of garages have the curves at the edge indicating it's a vehicle access. We have found in the past that with the double yellow lines in front of the garages some people who are allowed to park in double yellow lines (ie. blue badge holders) have blocked the access, which we now require its use at all times. To avoid this we would like to have the double yellow lines removed and a No Parking marking written (or if the latter was not possible we have already marked the garages with a temporary No Parking notice).   • Please can you let us know what is happening regarding the yellow lines? We talked to the Bristol City Council highways employee in charge for the painting of the lines in Alma Vale Road today, which is actually happening tomorrow 8/11/24, and he didn’t have any updates regarding the yellow lines in front of our garages. Please can you inform us? As mentioned we want these yellow lines removed. Many thanks.
