Dangerous + health hazard street cabinet on Renfield Lane

Reported via desktop anonymously at 17:55, Tue 29 October 2024

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6673085.

This cabinet is vandelised and exposed. It has saddly become a dumping ground for rubbish, broken glass bottles and needles. It doesn't belong to Openreach and I can't find out who it does belong to. It's been open, exposing the cabling, for so long I don't even know if it still works. If not, can it be removed? If it needs to stay, can it be safely covered with a larger cabinet that attaches directly onto the wall and has a slanted roof so that people can't tuck their rubbish behind it? It's become dangerous for walking tours visiting the CR Mackintosh building and the mural trail and for our customers visiting our venues.
