Rubbish and flytippping

Reported in the Flytipping category by Sarah Kirby at 12:09, Tue 21 July 2009

Sent to Leicester City Council less than a minute later

Large metal container ( about 3 weeks ago)and computer ( last week) dumped alongside perennial beer cans and general small litter.. this site is not on the pavement but clearly visible and dumpable in because of low perimeter wall... similar problems have been reported before on numerous occasions over last 3 years - but no long term solution seems to have been found to check on and clear area. The building is owned and used by Leicester City council - social services I think - seems incredible that staff who work there are unable to deal with the problem themselves - and a bit insulting to those who live in the street and have to walk by their rubbish every day.

Updates

  • More rubbish being ignored along Hobart Street/Lincoln Street corner - City Council Social Services building/offices with seemingly no system about or respect for checking or dealing with constant rubbish being left on their premises - have reported this numerous times before - it is dealt with once and then it happens again... it looks a mess - encourages more - is depressing for those who live here!
