Potholes at the entrance to National Trust Watlington Hill Car Park

Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 13:40, Thu 24 October 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6654071.

There is a series of potholes across the entrance to the access road of Watlington Hill NT Car Park where it comes off Hill Road. The potholed area appears to belong to Oxfordshire County Council rather than the National Trust according to the Fix My Street map. The entire area could do with re-surfacing. I reported this previously at the start of September though the pin was at the wrong location, and although you stated that issue warranted attention within 28 days, the case was closed within the last week with no explanation. The pin is now at the correct location. As you have already investigated the issue and stated that it warrants attention, can you please prioritise the work before the winter weather makes the situation worse.

  • Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. While Oxfordshire County Council is not responsible for this problem as Hill Road is adopted highway but the road leading to the car park is not, you will need to report it to National Trust. The report will now be closed on Fix My Street. Any potholes on Hill Road will be monitored during our routine inspections.

    State changed to: Investigation complete
