Gully under road is blocked flooding road dangerous

Reported via mobile in the Blocked Drain / Gully category anonymously at 10:00, Wed 23 October 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6648460.

The culvert under the road is blocked again and the water from the stream is flooding down an already potholed road into oncoming traffic . It is like a river and is going all the way down to the houses by the canal . It has been dug out before but we understood a long term solution was coming ? Please can someone come and sort this water out before there is an accident on two very sharp bends where cars are driving through the water .

  • This really needs sorting out quickly it’s pouring down the road and is much heavier than yesterday . It’s extremely dangerous too as cars are going around a shark bend where the water is outing down the street . Basically the stream is on the road and nothing is going under the road just down the road . Please come soon

  • Thank you for your report. We have concluded our assessment and closed this report. According to our information, this issue was resolved at the time of the report. We are aware that this is still an issue and have raised a new defect for the gully gang to attend and clear the culvert to take the water off the main highway. This issue has also be logged for larger programmed works to attend to the culvert and pipes under the highway. Kind regards.
