The pavement in between 29 - 31 Harvest Bank Road has a very steep slope and when it rains heavy or flood the water runs straight into my drive and house, the pavement needs to be level and a storm drain needs fitting in front of my house as we have been flooded twice

Reported via mobile in the Pavement Defect category by Grant Davis at 09:59, Wed 23 October 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6648307.

Between my house and 31 Harvest Bank Road the pavement slopes down and when it rains or floods, this causes the rain water to gather momentum and as my house is lower, the water flows into my property, down the drive and floods my house and garden etc We have been flooded twice, the most recently 1st August this year. We had local councillors look at my situation and they agreed that something needs to be down to save me being flooded evey time it rains heavily.

The downpours towards the end of last summer were extreme events in which the whole surface water drainage system was overwhelmed in the short term. Residents subject to flash flooding in these circumstances are advised to consider Property level Protection measures as highway drainage cannot be upgraded eliminate flood risk in these conditions.
