If travelling west to east on Twemlow Lane there is a sunken drain across the width of the carriageway

You can’t see the dip until you’re upon it so can’t brake in time unless you know it’s there. It’s sunk a lot more in the last two weeks. It can only be safely crossed at about 10mph.

This update is to inform you that we have carried out an initial assessment and have identified that we will need to undertake further works to investigate the issue, these works will be raised and programmed in according to our risk matrix. Whilst works are being programmed we will keep the area safe through routine inspections.

The investigation we have done so far has identified that we need to carry out more work to either better understand or resolve this problem. We have added this location to our drainage improvement programme list. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide you with a timescale of works as they will be prioritised based on risk and available budget. Changes might need to be made if we need to prioritise other works due to emergencies or weather events.
