Sunken Drains

Sent to East Sussex County Council and Lewes District Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 663271.
There are several sunken drains along this stretch of road and they have been like that for years. It causes damage to the cars suspension.

The fault has now been logged onto our system. The local Highway Steward will inspect the area and decide on the appropriate course of action.

The local Highway Steward has inspected the area and found nothing in need of immediate repair. We will continue to monitor the area and if it deteriorates to the extent that it becomes a safety issue we will ensure works are carried out.

This has been a problem ever since the road was resurfaced and it's definitely damaging to a car to drive down into these drains every day. Please re-assess.

The local Highways Steward has inspected and reports the gullies are slightly lower than the road, however not at a level that requires a repair. He will however continue to monitor this on his monthly inspection route.

These drains are still far lower than the road. Could you please re-assess this.
