Overgrown hedge on narrow footway

There is a narrow footway connecting Clinton Close to Thames View Road. The hedge on the side of the last house on Clinton Close grows well into the walkway, further narrowing the gap.

  • Hedge is still covering half of walkway making it difficult to push a pram through and in wet weather you get soaked as you can't avoid hedge

  • Thank you for your report. Landowners and occupiers are responsible for maintaining any boundary features on their property that adjoin public highways and affect highway safety. In this case, the highway appears to be impacted, so we will contact the land/property owner. If necessary, further action will be taken.
