Blocked drains, whole road/roundabout floods
Reported via mobile in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 09:46, Wed 16 October 2024
Sent to West Sussex County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6620978.
This has been repeatedly reported since October 2023, and is still not resolved one year later. The drain nearest the roundabout is always blocked. This causes the slightest amount of rain to pool and completely covers the carriageway and goes back as far as the roundabout during heavy rain. This is dangerous. The previous responses said drain was stuck, but it doesn’t take one year to unstick and clean a drain. It’s obviously an ongoing issue with all the mud coming down the side of the carriageway into the drain, therefore a permanent fix needs to be put in place. Let’s hope it doesn’t take another full year before a resolution is found!
