Dangerous narrowing of road

Reported via mobile in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 19:16, Mon 14 October 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6614784.

Sheepstead Road works. Road and path works on Sheepstead road has had new kerbing installed and this has made the road too narrow. The road is now only 4.3 metres wide. The existing is 5.5 metres. The standard width for roads with two way traffic should be 6m This will cause accidents with cars hitting each other in opposite directions. These roadworks are still onging with traffic lights so would be ideal to stop the work and rectify the issue.
