Partial repair by Utility Company

Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 09:42, Monday 14 October 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6611499.

O'Connor Utility Services (OCS) were working at the weekend (13th Oct) to rectify poor road reinstatement following installation of a Power Cable when they were working for National Grid Electricity Distribution around 2 years ago. They have built up and re-instated two failed areas that had dished significantly (clearly due to poor compaction and build up of sub-layers) but have left a large section in the middle. Previously this area wasn't so bad, but as they have built up both surrounding areas this section, being lower than the surrounding ones, now ponds fairly significantly. Where is the common sense in this? It defeats the object of doing the work in the first place and has shifted the hazard to a different location! Please tell them they also need to address this ASAP. They are due back out as they haven't finished all the snagging works on Broughton Road, so could address this issue at the same time they return..
