Hole in pavement grass verge

That next to the tree outside my home on the grass verge at 24 Wandon Close, LU2 8DX there is a large hole. It started at a slight depression earlier in the summer, and started to get bigger after all the rain. It was about 8" and as you can see now nearly 11". Obviously a hazard if anyone walks across the verge or drives over it - which is quite possible, for as you can see cars park alongside the verge daily, plus school children regularly walk along the road
