4 potholes n/bound; 1 s/bound

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6605471.

There are 4 substantial potholes on the northbound A343 approaching the junction with Mount Road. These are to the left of the road and are the result of previous poor repairs now failing ... each is 30-35cm long and 5-6 cm deep. There is one similar pothole on the south bound side, again to the left of the road. Due to the bollard in the middle of the road these are IMPOSSIBLE to avoid and will be causing significant damage to vehicles or injuries to cyclists.

  • Northbound holes fixed today, but southbound one left .... unable to avoid due to bollard.

  • Still no fix to s/bound pothole .... impossible to avoid with nearside wheel of car due to bollard. in the middle of the road. This is causing damage to wheels.

  • Potholes on n/bound side fixed promptly BUT pothole on s/bound side ignored. Due to the bollard in the middle of the road it is iMPOSSIBLE to avoid and will be causing significant damage to vehicles or injuries to cyclists. Getting worse.

  • Pothole still NOT fixed ... report saying fixed is wrong. All that has happened is a bit of blue paint has been daubed on the road. Due to the bollard in the middle of the road it is iMPOSSIBLE to avoid and will be causing significant damage to vehicles or injuries to cyclists. Getting worse.
