Moon crater of a pothole.

Reported via mobile in the A pothole in road category anonymously at 18:48, Friday 11 October 2024

Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6605183.

This is a massive pothole. I hit it this morning and it shook my car to s****. I will need to get the wheels, tyres and suspension checked now. It was one hell of a jolt at 25mph in the morning rush hour. Needs fixing asap.

Updates

  • Thank you for reporting a pothole.

First, a safety inspector will visit the location to assess whether a repair needs to be completed and plan the work needed. Works are prioritised based on the urgency of the situation. The council aim to repair all significant potholes (more than 4cm deep and 30cm wide) within 28 days.

In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.

We will provide updates about this report.

On our website you can read about five key actions we’re taking to strengthen the county’s roads. Visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/highways/roads/potholes to find out more.
