Water gushing along New Road

Reported via desktop by Rosemary Clarke at 13:52, Tue 8 October 2024

Sent to Torbay Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6566266.

Water appears to be coming out of grating/pavement near 123 New Road. It then travels along the gutter and down drain outside 119 New Road. Even when it has not rained for a few days the water is still there. When this was happening on another section of New Road it was because the stream which is in a culvert under New Road had breached the culvert.

  • The Council have put a drainage channel with a cover on from the source of the water across the pavement to the gutter. So although the water still flows it is no longer accumulating on the pavement.

    State changed to: Fixed
