Over grown tree blocking street light
Reported in the Trees category anonymously at 22:02, Wed 1 July 2015
Sent to West Oxfordshire District Council 2 minutes later
I have been written to to say the street light at the back of my drive can not be maintained due to over growing trees. I have contacted Cottsway housing who owns the area several months ago but nothing has happened.
Thank you for the update and for your persistence with Cottsway Housing. OCC Street Lighting will also chase Cottsway and apply some pressure to get the street light maintenance hatch cleared of foliage.

Still waiting for trees to be maintained. They have not been done for at least 10 years and I have reported this problem since November last year. It was started as the maintainence could not be carried out at the back of the property owned by Cottsway Housing Association. They have been contacted several times about the trees at the front of the houses too. But nothing has been done.

Unfortunately as the trees are owned by Cottsway Housing we are unable to go in and just cut them back, however, I will ask our inspector to take a look to see if there is anything we can do in the meantime to alleviate the issue of the street light being covered by foliage.
